Role Overview The Legislation Editorial Quality Manager plays a vital role in shaping and executing a robust quality strategy for our regulatory materials in North America. This position is key to ensuring our content is accurate, consistent, and ready for AI integration as we transition to an online-first model. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Legislation, you will work closely with Editorial Managers, Product teams, Technology, and global colleagues to enhance the customer experience and refine quality-driven workflows. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy that aligns with our global objectives and transformation initiatives. Create and maintain standardized quality controls and checklists for statutes, administrative codes, and court rules. Define, track, and communicate quality metrics such as accuracy and error categorization, providing regular reports to leadership. Conduct structured audits and targeted checks to assess content accuracy and integrity. Analyze audit outcomes and customer feedback to identify issues and drive effective corrective actions. Lead the integration of AI-driven quality tools to reduce errors and enhance decision-making processes. Promote online-first workflows, ensuring quality checks are embedded in every stage of the digital publishing process. Collaborate with technology teams to enhance AI solutions for quality assurance. Act as a subject matter expert on quality for North America, providing best practice guidance to Editorial Managers and Content Leads. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of quality standards and to support digital-first, AI-enhanced operations. Prepare executive-level reports on quality performance, trends, and improvement initiatives. Design and deliver training sessions on quality standards, audit processes, and AI tools. Support the development of capabilities among editorial teams to ensure consistent application of quality assurance frameworks. Required Qualifications A law degree (JD) or equivalent is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal editorial roles, focusing on quality assurance and compliance. Proven experience in creating and executing quality frameworks and audit processes. Familiarity with AI-driven editorial workflows and digital publishing standards. Experience with quality management systems, audit methodologies, and error categorization. Proficient in XML, content management systems, and data analysis tools. Experience with multi-jurisdictional legislative content and global quality initiatives is a plus. Differentials may apply in certain locations to reflect local market rates. If performed in Colorado, the base pay range is $65,100 - $108,500. If performed in Illinois, the range is $68,300 - $113,900. If in Chicago, IL, it is $71,600 - $119,300, while in Maryland, $68,300 - $113,900. For New York, the range is $71,600 - $119,300, and for New York City, $78,100 - $130,300. In Rochester, NY, the range is $65,100 - $108,500 and in New Jersey, it is $77,000 - $123,000.
