Responsibilities Work in a 19-bed Pediatric ICU in a hospital setting Will float to Pediatrics and NICU as needed based on hospital requirements Night shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 pm - 7:30 am) Patient ratio is typically 1:2 or higher depending on acuity Care includes use of Medtronic pacemakers, telemetry monitoring, BIPAP/CPAP, mechanical ventilation, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomies EMR used is Epic, prior Epic experience preferred Provide specialized critical care to pediatric patients in the ICU Will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across PICU, Pediatrics, and NICU Navy blue scrubs are required Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Background check must be clear of open or active issues Holiday and every other weekend coverage may be required Requirements Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of PICU critical care nursing experience At least 1 year of documented pediatric cardiac experience strongly preferred Current BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred Experience with Medtronic pacemakers, tele monitoring, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care required First-time travelers are not accepted Returning employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-653982.
