This contingent student will be up to full time hours in the summer and extend through the school year, with flexibility to work remotely and part time around a school schedule. General Summary: This position will provide the opportunity to increase the intern's underwriting & actuarial skills by gaining experience in insurance rating, analysis and modeling. Assist with day-to-day operations, performing tasks to plan and implement projects, as well as conducting analysis and reports to assist in recommendations. Pull and scrub data, perform analysis, develop studies, and put together presentations to inform key decision makers. The intention is for the work to be that of an entry-level analyst to best prepare the intern for a full-time position, if so desired. The intern will receive assistance, training, and mentoring from senior level staff as well as get exposure to Power BI & SQL. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must be enrolled in, or a recent graduate, of a 4 year undergraduate or 2 year graduate program. Area of study in Actuary Science, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Michigan Resident.
