Position Type: Transportation/Transportation Admin Assistant Date Posted: 3/9/2026 Location: LAKELAND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT Administrative Assistant Transportation Department 2025 2026 School Year Lakeland Joint School District is seeking applications for an Administrative Assistant at the Lakeland Transportation Department for the 2025 2026 school year. Schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, year-round Pay Range: $18.27 $20.72 per hour, DOE Benefits: Full benefits package, including PERSI retirement, medical, dental, and sick leave Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required Must have a valid CDL or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment Ability to operate standard office equipment Proficiency in Google applications, with special emphasis on Google Sheets Strong written and verbal English skills, including correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation Ability to successfully complete a bookkeeping test Prior experience processing timesheets and calculating trip sheets is a plus, but not required Application Requirements: District online application Resume Successful completion of an extensive background check (references, recommendations, and criminal history) How to Apply: Applications must be submitted online only.
