Job Details Location: Santa Cruz, CA 95065 - Santa Cruz healthcare / California nursing jobs Setting: Ambulatory Hematology/Oncology Clinic & Infusion Center (outpatient oncology) Employment Type: Locum tenens (travel NP contract) - travel NP jobs / locum tenens NP Start Date: As soon as credentialed Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for permanent placement Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (5 days per week) Shift Duration: 12-hour days Patient Volume: 16-18 patients per day (ambulatory infusion caseload) Support: Multidisciplinary team including nurse navigators, social workers, pharmacists, research coordinators, genetic counselors, and dedicated RN staff EMR: Cerner (experience with Cerner EMR preferred) Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $4,510-$4,830/week Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in acute care, hematology/oncology, or infusion/oncology clinic settings Graduation from an accredited post-graduate Nurse Practitioner program Active California NP license (required) Active DEA license (required) Board Certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology highly preferred; Board Eligible considered Current BLS certification preferred (can be obtained during credentialing) Clean medical and professional background; strong clinical documentation skills Responsibilities Provide expert hematology and oncology care in an outpatient infusion center setting (oncology NP responsibilities) Perform patient assessments, treatment planning, chemotherapy/infusion oversight, symptom management, and survivorship care Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse navigators, pharmacists, social workers, and research coordinators to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds, weekly tumor boards, and rapid diagnosis clinics Document care and coordinate follow-up using Cerner EMR Engage in clinical trials, tele-genetics consultations, survivorship and bereavement support programs when applicable Why Santa Cruz?
