Job Title Vice President, Business Development Job Summary Grows the business by building, managing, and executing to close a pipeline of new business in assigned categories. This position sells fund administration and middle office services primarily focused on the private equity, private credit, hedge, and wealth platform segments. Job Duties/Responsibilities Cultivate sales leads and a pipeline of new business opportunities, including prospects launching funds and take-away business from competitors Serve as primary point of contact for prospects during initial stages of the sales process. Involve subject matter experts, technical experts, senior management personnel and firm leadership at appropriate points in middle and late stages Manage the process of responding to due diligence questionnaires, RFP's and RFI's for assigned prospects Work closely with Sales Support to produce deliverables; NDA's, proposals, contracts, RFP's, questionnaires, presentations, etc. Ensure that new business is successfully implemented and transitioned to ongoing servicing team(s) Maintain understanding of functional and technical aspects of the firm's capabilities and benefits, industry trends, and client needs, using the understanding to win business Maintain up to date knowledge of competitors' service offerings and delivery, participating in competitive research as assigned Represent the firm at conferences, trade shows, networking events, seminars, and marketing events Populate and update leads, contact information, sales opportunities and other relevant data in the CRM system. Prepare and submit status reports (i.e., Deal and Call Reports) as needed Contribute to marketing activities Qualifications: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial services, fintech, banking, fund administration in private equity, credit, hedge fund space Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience required A growing network of fund managers, sponsors, trustees, law firms and other influencers preferred, including ability to interact with C-Level executives Experience in financial markets and asset management Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex engagements High energy, strong self-confidence, strategic mind to lead and/or contribute to discussion with various stakeholders at senior levels Able to sell complex solutions to clients, and apply relationship management and analytical skills to handle client requests/objections in an appropriate manner Demonstrated ability to lead the entire RFP or RFI process and consistently meet sales targets Proficiency with SalesForce or other CRM is desirable High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook Strong verbal and written skills are essential. Possess a strong work ethic, and uncompromising integrity Availability for travel up to 30% of the time.
