Key Responsibilities: Drywall Estimation: Accurately prepare comprehensive cost estimates for drywall projects, covering material costs, labor, and equipment needs. Bid Preparation: Create thorough bid proposals for drywall contracts, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure all necessary documentation is included. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to review specifications, blueprints, and requirements for precise estimating. Cost Analysis: Conduct in-depth cost analyses and feasibility studies, identifying potential cost-saving solutions without sacrificing quality. Takeoffs and Quantification: Perform meticulous material takeoffs and quantification for all drywall scopes. Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination: Partner with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes for materials and labor. Contract Review: Aid in reviewing and negotiating contract terms, focusing on scope, pricing, and change orders. Software Proficiency: Utilize drywall estimating software (e.g., QuickBid, PlanSwift, OST) for developing estimates and maintaining accurate cost records. Budget Monitoring: Assist project managers in tracking the budget throughout the project lifecycle to ensure financial efficiency. Client Interaction: Engage with clients providing expert support and addressing any inquiries regarding estimates or drywall work. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience estimating drywall work for large commercial projects. Proficient in drywall estimating software such as QuickBid, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), PlanSwift, or similar. Strong know-how of drywall materials, techniques, and commercial building codes. Expertise in material takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost analysis. Adept at interpreting architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Capability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines effectively. Detail-oriented, with an unwavering focus on accuracy in estimates. Familiarity with the commercial construction project lifecycle and processes. A degree in Construction Management or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
