Job Title: Lead Mechanical Design Engineer Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer with over 8 years of experience in Mechanical Design-Build engineering. We're looking for a proactive leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality projects and offers technical proficiency in mechanical systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline 8-10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design or design-build, focusing on HVAC and piping systems; plumbing knowledge is a bonus Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license; LEED accreditation is a plus Expertise in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, and familiarity with building management systems (BMS) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to mentor and develop junior engineers Demonstrated capability to lead teams and projects, consistently meeting deadlines and quality standards Responsibilities: Champion mechanical design and implementation projects, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality benchmarks Conduct load calculations, airflow analysis, and technical evaluations for system design and sizing Ensure compliance with local and international codes and standards including ASHRAE, LEED, and NFPA Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, equipment selections, submittals, and cost estimates Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems Collaborate effectively with clients, owners, and internal teams while mentoring junior engineers Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience with potential annual bonus Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401k plan with potential company contributions Generous paid time off, holidays, and parental leave Diversity: We value diversity and are committed to building an inclusive team that reflects the communities we serve.
