The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances.Example of DutiesThe Health IT Systems Analyst oversees the administration, configuration, and optimization of departmental software & legacy database systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHR). The position ensures data quality, security, HIPAA compliance, and alignment with operational and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining reports and analytics, supporting program reporting needs, and coordinating data exchanges and interoperability with state and federal systems. The position collaborates with staff and vendors to manage system updates, enhancements, and change management, while documenting workflows and procedures. It also provides staff training and ongoing user support, serves as the primary technical liaison with vendors, and participates in special projects and emergency response activities as part of departmental and municipal incident management teams. Perform other duties as assigned.The Anchorage Health Department (AHD) engages in the State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) emergency responses and the federal Incident Command System (ICS). This includes training exercises as part of the AHD's Crisis Health Action Team (CHAT) and municipal Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
