Family Medicine Physician Opportunity Ascension Illinois is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician for our Family Medicine Department. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Illinois to provide medical services to patients. Position Highlights: Great opportunity in a busy outpatient Family Medicine practice See 20+ patients per day No inpatient rounding required Patient friendly hours, 1 Saturday per month and 1 evening per week (Monday) Nice mix of patients and cases Beautiful office setting on hospital campus Excellent office support staff MA support Great Northwest Suburban location Responsibilities: Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area. Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management. Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital. Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested. Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner. Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
