Policy Writer We are seeking a dedicated Policy Writer to provide essential support to our conference and facilities department. This role involves working on the Building Security Documentation Rewrite project, ensuring that all security documentation is clear, well-structured, and accessible. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating building protocols, safety procedures, emergency workflows, and access control processes, while standardizing formatting and terminology across all documents. Responsibilities Rewrite and reorganize current building security documentation to improve clarity, structure, and accessibility. Ensure the documentation reflects updated building protocols, safety procedures, emergency workflows, and access control processes. Standardize formatting, terminology, and visual style across all documents. Remove obsolete content and add any missing procedural steps or compliance references. Produce a version suitable for Governance, staff, contractors, visitors, and emergency personnel as applicable. Essential Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook. 2+ years of administrative experience. Strong ability to write and format documents. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience within the facilities management space is ideal. Work Environment The position offers flexible working hours with 7.5-hour days, typically from 8:15 to 4:30. A computer will be provided. The role requires 2-3 days per week onsite after training, and you'll be part of a team of 3-4 admins. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Business Affairs Manager. Job Type & Location This is a contract position based out of Washington, DC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
