Senior Bookkeeper A growing mid-size law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to support the firm's day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable, maintaining the general ledger, performing reconciliations, and supporting monthly billing and financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, excellent Excel skills, and experience working in a professional services or business-to-business environment. Experience with PerfectLaw is highly preferred. Key responsibilities include: Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processing Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards Prepare and post journal entries and supporting documentation Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations Support the firm's monthly billing process, including invoice preparation, review, and distribution Work closely with attorneys and administrative staff to ensure accurate client billing and matter tracking Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules Maintain organized accounting records and documentation for internal review Assist with year-end close and audit preparation, including reconciliations and supporting schedules Work with external accountants during year-end processes as needed Utilize Excel formulas and financial models to improve reporting and efficiency Support ongoing improvements to accounting processes and internal controls Qualifications: 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting Experience with monthly billing cycles in a professional services or B2B setting Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Experience with PerfectLaw or other legal accounting software preferred Skills & competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong organizational and documentation skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills High level of professionalism and confidentiality Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
