Position Summary The Nurse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center, including oversight of nursing staff, surgical technologists, sterile processing and other clinical support personnel. The Nurse Manager works closely with the ASC Director to support operational goals and collaborates with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other teams to ensure efficient perioperative patient flow. Location: Proliance Puget Sound Surgery Center (part of Puget Sound Orthopaedics) - Lakewood, WA Schedule: Monday through Friday 0800-1630 Key Duties and Responsibilities Provides leadership and is accountable for The daily operation of the center. Supervising OR, PACU Nurses, including Charge Nurses, SPD lead, and Material Manager Supervisor. Surgery and staffing schedules Serves as a member of the Quality Improvement Committee Identifies and reports on quality care issues and as directed implements corrective measures. Helps with submission of required reports to CSO team and participates in benchmarking and outcomes programs. Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and conducts monitoring activities as assigned so that the ASC maintains compliance with accreditation standards and regulations. Drives performance management through regular evaluations, coaching, and development including annual performance reviews Mentors and develops team members to promote high performance and professional growth Oversees training programs to ensure clinical competency, safety, and compliance Completes and approves timecards for all staff Completes new hire orientation and onboarding procedures with continuous competency checks and updates Other duties as assigned by ASC Director Education and Experience. Registered Nurse - Washington State License BSN Experience as a circulating, perioperative or critical care nurse (ER, ICU, etc.) One or more years of ASC experience, with an interest in learning leadership & regulatory compliance. Strong Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word skills; ASC practice management systems and electronic medical records. BLS and ACLS certification. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
