Program Assistant - Scheduling Reporting to the Registrar, the Program Assistant 16 Admin Services for Scheduling is responsible for making significant and measurable contributions to the efficient and effective workings of the department by assisting the scheduling needs in our scheduling division, working collaboratively with the Assistant Registrar Scheduling, Registrar team and other academic departments on issues related to curriculum and schedule related academic policies. In addition to scheduling responsibilities, this individual will assist the Registrar in organizing and processing EM Appeal requests, documentation, and results. This role provides critical service to students and is, in large part, assists the University in course scheduling and registrar related functions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Process in Banner scheduling requests received from various academic departments within university. These requests will include items such as adding and canceling classes. Including but not limited to processing changes to class and schedule information to include room changes, time changes, and/or instructor changes. Create semester and registration screens for upcoming registration events in Banner. Generate reports from software to satisfy requests from throughout university regarding room utilization and building utilization. Assist with scheduling responsibilities throughout the semester, especially at critical times such as the beginning of the semester. Serve as a resource for upcoming scheduling related projects. Assist faculty, chairs, and deans when requests for scheduling are received from their areas. Maintain a professional attitude and response to requests regarding scheduling items. Make recommendations for action based upon university regulations regarding student and/or faculty requests. Assist in organizing and processing EMAppeal documentation and results. Other responsibilities as required, including but not limited to managing student records, overseeing registration processes, ensuring compliance with academic policies, and providing support to students and staff. Qualifications: Associate degree from an accredited college or university. Three (3) or more years' experience in a Registrar Office using a student information system. Demonstrated understanding of the requirements of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, as amended, regarding the privacy of student records and general information. Capable of maintaining the confidentiality of all conversations, incidents, and information processed and maintained by the University. Working knowledge of FERPA. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Courseleaf, 25Live and Banner Student system Proficiency in MS Word and EXCEL Familiarity with the priorities of faculty and academic departments In-depth knowledge of transfer credit procedures and best practices.
