PopUp Bagels is seeking a Recruiting Specialist to support the company's continued growth across Corporate, Production, and Retail Shop operations. This role is responsible for full-cycle recruitment and requisition ownership, ensuring the company consistently attracts and hires top talent for full-time, part-time, exempt, non-exempt, and hourly positions. The Recruiting Specialist serves as a key partner to hiring managers across the organization and is responsible for managing open requisitions from intake through offer, building strong candidate pipelines, and ensuring a seamless hiring process. This position plays a critical role in helping PopUp Bagels hire top talent while maintaining a positive candidate experience and efficient hiring timelines. Location: Hybrid in Meriden, CT or Marietta, GA with three in-office days per week. Role type: Exempt Travel: 10-25% for company or team meetings and to visit company facilities for training and/or intake meetings Essential Responsibilities: Own and manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously across corporate, production, and shop-level roles. Maintain requisition request process, and conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, role requirements, timelines, and success profiles. Maintain regular communication with hiring managers regarding pipeline status, candidate feedback, and recruiting progress. Ensure hiring managers have a consistent flow of qualified candidates and feel supported throughout the hiring process. Provide guidance to hiring managers on interview structure and candidate evaluation processes. Develop and execute sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, networking, employee referrals, and direct outreach. Identify creative sourcing channels to attract candidates for all types of roles. Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer support, and pre-employment processes. Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams while ensuring scheduling efficiency. Maintain accurate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure compliance with hiring documentation requirements. Maintain requisition status with the ATS by actively opening, pausing, and closing jobs based on hiring needs. Track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate pipeline health, and hiring outcomes. Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, candidate pipelines, and hiring efficiency. Support the creation and maintenance of job descriptions and update job descriptions, as needed. Represent PopUp Bagels at career fairs, networking events, and community recruiting initiatives, as needed. Support employer branding efforts that position PopUp Bagels as an employer of choice in retail, production, and corporate environments. Help promote the PopUp brand and culture to candidates through engaging recruiting communications. Experience and Education Requirement: High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. 13 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR experience, preferably supporting multiple job functions. Experience recruiting for hourly roles, retail operations, production environments, or hospitality/food service organizations preferred. Experience managing multiple open requisitions and hiring timelines simultaneously. Familiarity with sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Applicant Tracking Systems. Experience with ADP and Harri ATS systems, preferred. Preferred Certifications: SHRM-CP, PHR, AIRS, or similar recruiting certification. Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting practices and sourcing strategies. Ability to build strong partnerships with hiring managers, candidates, and cross-functional teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple roles and hiring timelines. Ability to analyze candidate pipelines and adjust recruiting strategies as needed. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate hiring documentation. Strong ownership and accountability for keeping hiring timelines on track. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as ATS platforms (ADP and Harri preferred). Strong interpersonal skills and ability to represent the PopUp brand positively to candidates and external partners. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
