It serves as both the local and regional healthcare hub for Southcentral Alaska, co-managed by Southcentral Foundation and the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. Job Overview: The Senior Executive Vice President for Specialty Services will take on a pivotal role within SCF, directly reporting to the President and CEO. As the highest-ranking physician on the executive team, the EVP is integral in championing SCF's vision, mission, and strategic goals, while ensuring financial stability and operational excellence. This leader will work collaboratively with the executive team to shape the direction of SCF and provide mentorship to departmental Vice Presidents. The EVP will also engage closely with the Chief Executive of the Alaska Native Medical Center, being a critical member of the ANMC Executive Management Team. Qualifications: MD or DO degree with current board certification and a minimum of five (5) years as a practicing physician. A minimum of ten (10) years in progressively responsible corporate management roles, including at least five (5) years in a Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, or Medical Director capacity, or equivalent combination of training and experience. The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this transformative role will have the following attributes: Exceptional experience as a physician executive overseeing extensive and complex service lines. A proven track record in intricate healthcare settings such as community health organizations, integrated health systems, and rural healthcare facilities. Clinical and executive experience in SCF’s relevant clinical domains (e.g., Family Practice, OB-GYN, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, Dental, or Internal Medicine). A passionate advocate for Southcentral Foundation and its mission. Collaborative leadership qualities and a talent for engaging with stakeholders across multiple levels. A commitment to a community-owned healthcare model attuned to the needs of customer-owners. A vision that is strategic, innovative, and forward-thinking to drive the organization’s progress.
