Location: Kansas City, Missouri, 64112 Employment Type: Full-Time Pay: $30.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Wednesday: 7:45 AM - 6:00 PM | Thursday: 7:45 AM - 7:00 PM | Saturday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM Citadel Security USA is hiring an Armed Security Officer for a high-value retail Commercial Building in Kansas City. The role centers on maintaining a visible security presence inside the store while helping protect staff, customers, and merchandise. The position combines deterrence, observation, and professional customer interaction. Officers assigned to this location are expected to remain alert, follow store procedures, and support loss-prevention efforts while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. Responsibilities during a shift Maintain an armed security presence inside the retail jewelry store Watch for suspicious behavior or potential theft activity Help discourage shoplifting through visibility and attentive observation Greet customers when appropriate and assist with basic directions or questions Monitor the sales floor and store entrance throughout the shift Follow site procedures, store policies, and company security standards Document incidents or concerns and communicate with store leadership when needed Support retail safety and loss-prevention efforts Minimum requirements Active Missouri Armed Security License (Guard Card) Personal duty firearm that meets company and legal standards Strong communication and customer interaction skills Must meet all Missouri and local armed security requirements Must be legally allowed to possess a firearm under federal and state law Must own a security-industry standard armored vest and full duty belt Experience that is helpful Retail security or jewelry store protection experience Background in loss prevention or asset protection Armed security work in customer-facing environments Work conditions Retail jewelry store setting Standing and observation throughout the shift Direct interaction with customers and store employees Professional appearance and conduct expected while on duty Equal Opportunity Employer Citadel Security USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
