Architectural Sales Consultant Weather Shield, now a part of Pella family of brands, is seeking an Architectural Sales Consultant to join the team. This is a dynamic role that is best for a self-motivated individual with previous success growing sales within the architectural and design communities. This position will have a home office and will travel within the assigned territory. This role will provide support the following territory: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. Responsibilities Responsibilities: Drive sales by developing relationships with architects and designers within the luxury residential and light commercial markets. Assist Architectural and Design Professionals with their selection of fenestration products. Influence product specification by offering technical consultation and problem solving during the early design stages. Work closely with the regional sales team and our distribution network to ensure timely estimating for projects. Provide product education training to architects. Conduct AIA Continuing Education Lunch and Learn programs in accordance with AIA/CES guidelines. Actively participate and support industry associations such as AIA, CSI, CRAN, etc. Occasionally act as a field representative during onsite surveys, field testing and preinstallation meetings. Offer support and back-up to the rest of the regional sales team. Skills and Knowledge: A strong work ethic with a willingness to be responsive to customers' needs. Experience with working with architects and custom builders, preferably with an understanding of window and door products. A history of consultative selling to architects. An understanding of construction specifications and design documents. Knowledge of installation methods, local and national building codes. The ability to find creative solutions to problems. Capable of presenting effectively in front of varying sized groups. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Travel requirements depend on where the applicant resides. Overnight travel may be required one to two times a month. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and / or experience. Prefer five or more years of sales or industry experience within the A&D community. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license, registered and insured motor vehicle in compliance with state and company requirements. CDT or CCPR is preferred.
