Core Responsibilities: Perform structural design calculations for steel structures employing Mathcad and proprietary tools developed by PTS. Generate detailed fabrication drawings for diverse applications, streamlining procurement and fabrication processes. Assist in procuring materials and fabricated components, ensuring effective supplier communication. Comply with industry codes and company standards while producing comprehensive design drawing packages. Conduct site evaluations to assess conditions for design executions, which may involve climbing ladders and utilizing various measuring instruments. Support Lead Designers and management with various tasks as required. Enhance and develop custom SolidWorks design tools and tables. Required Qualifications: Solid mathematical skills including algebra, trigonometry, and geometry. Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering is necessary. Experience or training in SolidWorks or similar 3D drafting software is preferred; having two or more years of experience is a plus. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and other essential productivity tools. Familiarity with Mathcad or comparable engineering calculation software is beneficial. Self-driven with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
