Job Title: Woodworks Project Manager Division: Woodworks Pay Type/Employment Status: Salary/Full Time Salary Range: $75,000 - $105,000 Reports to: Director of Woodworks Silver Maple is seeking a talented Woodworks Project Manager (PM) to lead custom cabinet projects from initial client consultation through final installation. This role combines design expertise, project planning, budgeting, and client relationship management to deliver exceptional cabinetry solutions. With a background in architecture, design, and/or cabinetry, the PM translates client vision into detailed specifications, develops comprehensive scopes of work, manages project budgets, and coordinates all aspects of production and installation. This position serves as the primary client contact, bridging the gap between design intent and production reality, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Candidates with demonstrated experience finding creative solutions to the inevitable problems that arise in custom cabinetry and millwork projects will be prioritized. The Job: Client Relations: Meet with clients to understand their needs and vision for custom cabinetry projects, providing expert guidance on design possibilities and material options. Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining clear communication and managing expectations Design & Documentation: Create detailed cabinet designs using CAD software, produce comprehensive construction drawings, elevations, sections, and shop drawings. Specify materials, finishes, hardware, and accessories while ensuring designs meet relevant building codes and standards Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare accurate project budgets including materials, labor, hardware, finishing, installation, and overhead costs. Track expenses against budget, identify variances, and maintain target profit margins. Source and negotiate with material suppliers, hardware vendors, and subcontractors Execution: Develop comprehensive scopes of work and detailed project schedules for design, fabrication, finishing, and installation phases. Coordinate with the Production Floor Manager to ensure adequate shop capacity, materials, and manpower. Process and document change orders with updated costs and schedule impacts Production & Installation: Work closely with the Production Floor Manager to ensure designs are manufactured to specification. Conduct regular site visits during installation, coordinate logistics with other trades, and manage project completion, including final inspections, punch lists, and client walkthroughs Process: Willingness to leverage Procore for project management and follow or improve existing processes Travel: Ability to travel as needed to client sites for consultations, site assessments, and installation oversight Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing custom cabinet, millwork, or construction projects Advanced proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed drawings and specifications Comprehensive understanding of cabinet construction methods, materials, finishes, hardware, and installation techniques Proven experience developing and managing project budgets, cost estimation, and financial tracking Expert ability to read, interpret, and create architectural drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications Extensive knowledge of wood species, sheet goods, hardware, finishes, and other cabinetry materials Familiarity with relevant building codes, ADA requirements, and industry standards Competency with project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and estimating tools Strong design portfolio demonstrating completed cabinet or millwork projects Excellent communication, client relationship, and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Employee Benefits Our benefits program is designed to make you feel valued in your role and to support all aspects of your well-being.
