Pool season is fast approaching with it's annual early June opening and the Recreation Department is hiring! Expected Work Environment for all positions: Indoor, open-air environment with extreme temperatures, hot and cold. Working varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Exposure to noise of varied extremes. Exposure to dissatisfied or abusive individuals Exposure to cleaning materials and pool-related chemicals Exposure to body fluid Available open positions include: Concessionaire $12.50/hr: (Ages 14+) This position will be responsible for performing tasks to support the day-to-day operation of the HLAC concession stand and main entrance collection of fees and charges. Concessions Manager $15.50/hr: Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the HLAC concession stand and admissions. Requirements for this position: Graduation from high school or GED Minimum of one-year management experience in the food prep industry. Lifeguard $14.00/hr: (Ages 15+) The City of Moscow will provide the training, testing, and certification required for the role. There will be a second testing option, at a later time, for those who do not pass the first time or hired after the first session. Individuals must pass all tests in order to be eligible for hire. This position's primary responsibility is to safeguard the lives of individuals in the entire enclosed pool area and prevent accidents through knowledge of lifesaving, proper use of equipment, and awareness of responsibility. Other duties will include assisting in the overall operation of the pool facility, maintenance and cleaning as necessary. Aquatics Manager $16.00/hr: (18 or older is preferred) This full-time temporary seasonal position is responsible for the supervision of the HLAC and will supervise other temporary pool staff. Requirements for this position: Current American Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification for the Professional Rescuer and Lifeguard training are required.
