Benefits: 401(k) Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Title - Digital Project Manager / Visual Communication Specialist Client: National Science Foundation (NSF) Location: Alexandria, VA Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview The Digital Project Manager / Visual Communications Specialist will support the National Science Foundation by designing and producing high-quality visual content for print and digital platforms. The role involves creating graphics, infographics, presentations, and multimedia assets that communicate complex scientific information to diverse audiences while maintaining NSF's visual identity and branding standards. Key Responsibilities Design graphic layouts and visual content for print and digital media. Develop and edit professional PowerPoint presentations for leadership briefings, outreach, and events. Create infographics, illustrations, and visual materials for press kits, media events, publications, and digital platforms. Design graphics for conferences, trade shows, exhibits, and public outreach events. Produce visual assets and animated graphics to support video production, web content, and social media. Develop original illustrations (including digital and 3D) to visually explain complex scientific or technical concepts. Ensure all materials follow NSF branding guidelines and visual identity standards. Collaborate with researchers, communications teams, and stakeholders to translate complex subject matter into clear visual formats. Ensure all produced content meets Section 508 accessibility requirements. Provide technical and creative guidance to staff on visual communications projects. Required Qualifications Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, etc.). Strong skills in graphic design, illustration, and visual storytelling. Ability to develop scientifically accurate visual representations of concepts, objects, plants, or animals. Experience gathering requirements and collaborating with stakeholders in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow creative direction and branding standards.
