As a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, your expertise in caregiving and care management will directly influence patient outcomes. You will manage a patient group, execute the Nursing Process, and supervise other caregivers, utilizing your judgment for optimal results. Conduct thorough assessments and gather data focusing on physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive factors. Implement care plans and procedures with skill and consistency. Identify and address patient educational needs effectively. Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records. Delegate and oversee patient care activities with proficiency. Occasionally function as a Charge Nurse, coordinating staff and patient assignments. Commit to ongoing professional development through education and training. Adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times. Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and procedures. Requirements: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Current Washington State RN Licensure. HCP Level of BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. Preferred experience in acute care nursing. Advanced certifications such as NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN's Intermediate Fetal Monitoring are highly desirable. Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage crises effectively. Capability to care for patients across the age spectrum. Physical ability to perform CPR and manage equipment safely. Emotional resilience to navigate high-stress environments.
