Armed Patrol Officer Full-Time Location: Orange, CA Pay Range: $22.00 $24.50 per hour Additional Pay: $0.50 per hour in tax-free stipends for cell phone and equipment use. Schedule: Must have open availability, including weekends Sunset Safety Agency is currently hiring dedicated and experienced Armed Patrol Officers to join our growing team in Orange County, CA. Position Overview As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing a visible security presence to help deter criminal activity. This role requires excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly and professionally in high-pressure situations. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular vehicle and foot patrols of assigned client properties. Identify and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, or security breaches. Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents requiring intervention. Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary. Prepare clear and accurate daily activity and incident reports. Assist individuals during emergency situations and ensure public safety. Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and applicable laws. Qualifications Minimum 21 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent (additional training or education in criminal justice is a plus). Valid California Guard Card and Firearm Permit (required). Prior experience in private security, military service, or law enforcement preferred. Valid California driver's license and clean driving record. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Calm and professional demeanor under pressure. Proficiency in the use of radios, reporting tools, and other security technologies. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
