Key Responsibilities: Build and nurture strong professional relationships with drivers and outside carriers for effective freight management. Participate in special projects aimed at maximizing fleet efficiency and profitability. Assist in training and orienting drivers and employees, including navigating customer systems. Analyze and enhance fleet operations efficiency through data reporting and customer presentations. Manage inventory and driver assignments to optimize resource allocation. Handle administrative duties like payroll, budget management, accident reviews, and P&L analysis. Oversee yard management to ensure safety and functionality of equipment. Collaborate with drivers, customers, and company personnel to promptly resolve service and routing issues. Promote our safety culture through training, briefings, and compliance enforcement. Plan and monitor freight movement while adapting to real-time challenges. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED with up to four years of relevant experience or education. Must be currently enrolled in a degree program, or have a Bachelor's degree, with availability to work varying shifts. Relocation Requirement: Willingness to relocate within the Southeast region after training is necessary. Potential hiring locations include Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus one year of relevant experience. Previous internship experience with J.B. Hunt's Dedicated Contract Services division is advantageous.
