The successful candidate will teach seven courses during the Fall and Spring semesters, equivalent to a 4/3 teaching load. The main area of teaching will be multiple sections of media writing and content creation at the undergraduate level. Other courses may cover topics including but not limited to strategic communication, social media, digital media, journalism or broadcasting depending on the candidate's areas of expertise or professional experience. Participation in academic advising, service and outreach activities at the department and college/university level is expected. Employee acknowledges and agrees that in the event of insufficient funding and/or work, as determined by University in its sole discretion, University may: (1) change this Agreement by adjusting the employee's FTE and annual salary throughout the contract year; or (2) terminate this Agreement and employee's employment prior to the end of the term of appointment, upon 60 days written notice or such lesser amount of notice as the funding or sponsoring agency had to give to the University before decreasing or terminating funding for the employee's position.
