AEGIS Insurance Services Inc. has an immediate opening for: Senior Business Analyst Job Description: AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. ("AEGIS") has an immediate opening for a Senior Business Analyst responsible for the delivery and management of one or more business applications and/or financial systems. The individual works closely with the Lead Business Analyst and/or the business to understand, prioritize, document requirements, and manage the configuration and implementation of business applications. The Senior Business Analyst also ensures that the development or configuration team fully understands the requirements, and oversees the coding/configuration, testing, and deployment of all application changes. Job Requirements: Minimum 8 years of business analysis experience; insurance industry experience Undergraduate Degree in Information Technology, Systems Management, or related field ServiceNow system experience is a plus Experience with application support, requirements definition, test plan development, QA/UAT test coordination, and testing prior to UAT Experience with project management and/or implementation of system requirements based on changes in workflow or changes in business requirements Experience in writing detailed application requirements with detailed scopes of work PEGA (or other BPM solution), Workday, ServiceNow and/or reinsurance system experience a plus Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, facilitate, and participate in meetings with employees from all organizational levels Demonstrated analytical thinking for problem resolution and process development Strong skills in prioritization and reprioritization to react to a dynamic environment Ability to work cross-functionally and think creatively, critically, and strategically Ability to translate business needs into efficient technology solutions Candidate Attributes: Collaborative Communications and Behavior: Develops and maintains effective working relationships as a team member and across divisions; readily collaborates and shares information, seeks and provides constructive feedback, and supports a respectful workplace Initiative and Accountability: Proactively addresses opportunities to enhance AEGIS' people, processes, products, and services, takes ownership for one's responsibilities by acting with integrity and in the best interest of the organization and stakeholders Quality-Focused: Demonstrates a solution-focus, displays thoroughness and accuracy through quality deliverables, and demonstrates persistence and perseverance in achieving concrete and tangible outcomes Service-Oriented: Conveys a genuine desire and ability to anticipate and meet customer needs and creates and nurtures mutually beneficial relationships within AEGIS and with AEGIS Members and brokers Essential Job Functions: Relationship Management and Customer Support Gain a clear understanding of the business applications and operational needs of the divisions supported Work closely with the business and other Business Analysts to identify requirements, prioritize the needs, document requirements, and manage them to final deployment Create and/or review job aids and conduct demos/training for complex functionality Collaborate with other IT teams for impact analysis of new and updated functionality Program/Project Management and Support Provide application support and QA management, including test plan development, and QA/UAT test coordination Define requirements, test plans, and deployment plans in support of the business unit Plan, coordinate, and monitor the progress of development projects to ensure their ongoing alignment with business goals Facilitate discussions and consensus among various project stakeholders, such as analysts, application programmers and business users May work individually or as part of BA team Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Provide a strong focus on overall quality, performance, and user experience of business applications or financial systems EOE AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. participates in E-Verify We expect to pay a starting salary between $130,000 and $150,000. An applicant's placement within this range is based on their individual qualifications and professional experience.
