Job Title: Summer Art Teacher (Part-Time)Job Summary The Summer Art Teacher is responsible for leading engaging programs for youth participants in creative art activities. These instructors help create a fun, structured, and safe environment while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and healthy activity. Teachers will develop lesson plans, organize projects or activities, supervise participants, and ensure a positive experience for all students. This is a part-time seasonal position scheduled Monday through Thursday during the summer months. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and lead age-appropriate art lessons and creative projects. Prepare materials and supplies needed for art activities. Encourage creativity, self-expression, and participation. Provide guidance and assistance to students while they complete projects. Assist with setup and cleanup of art supplies and work areas. Supervise participants at all times to ensure safety. Enforce program rules and expectations consistently and fairly. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment. Ensure activity areas remain clean and organized. Communicate with program supervisors regarding participant needs, incidents, or concerns. Assist with attendance tracking if required. Required Skills and Qualifications Ability to work well with children in a group setting. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to organize and lead engaging activities. Responsible, dependable, and organized. Ability to maintain a safe and structured environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with youth programs, camps, or recreation activities. Background in art, education, or related fields. Experience leading group activities or classroom instruction. Working Conditions Work may take place indoors or outdoors depending on the activity.
