HR Training and Process Documentation Coordinator (Full-Time)Department: Human Resources Reports To: HR Manager Location: Hartville Hardware (Hartville, OH) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary The Training & Process Documentation Coordinator supports operational excellence by serving as the primary owner of documenting and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating training that enables team members to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role partners closely with leadership and frontline teams to capture best practices, standardize processes across the organization, and ensure training materials and completion tracking are accurate and current. Approximately 50% of the role is focused on SOP/process documentation and 50% on training coordination and effectiveness. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesA. SOP & Process Documentation (Primary Accountability) Own the development, organization, and ongoing maintenance of company SOPs, job aids, checklists, and process maps across key functions (e.g., safety, point-of-sale, receiving, customer service, warehouse, and operational routines). Conduct process observations and interviews with subject matter experts to translate "how work is done" into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation. Standardize and align processes across locations and teams to support consistency, quality, and compliance. Establish a document control process including versioning, review cycles, approvals, and archival to ensure accuracy and traceability. Maintain a centralized, accessible digital library for SOPs and training materials. Identify gaps in documentation and recommend improvements that reduce errors, increase efficiency, and improve the team member experience. B. Training Coordination & Delivery Support Partner with leadership to identify training needs at departmental and divisional levels and support annual training planning. Coordinate onboarding and ongoing training resources (internal trainers, vendors, online modules, and in-person sessions) to ensure the best content and delivery method are used. Maintain training records and completion tracking by individual team members, including refreshers and required recertifications (as applicable). Leverage technology to support training communication, assignments, and reporting; provide routine updates to leadership on participation and progress. Occasionally facilitate or co-facilitate training sessions, meetings, or refreshers as assigned. C. Collaboration, Continuous Improvement, and Culture Build strong working relationships with leaders and team members to support consistent adoption of SOPs and training standards. Support communication efforts that reinforce culture, service standards, and operational expectations. Participate in meetings, project work, and professional development opportunities as assigned. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR-related responsibilities. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in training coordination, process documentation, operations support, or a related role; retail or customer-facing operations experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and practical SOPs and training materials for a variety of audiences. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with leaders and frontline teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management tools; experience with HRIS/LMS systems preferred. Strong attention to detail, high integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
