Job Summary The Retail Operations Leader will oversee safety for both associates and pets, guarantee a stellar customer experience, implement operational strategies, drive financial success, and manage human resources effectively. You will inspire your team by representing our core values, enhancing service quality, and ensuring smooth daily operations that embody our dedication to pets and their owners. Key Responsibilities: People Leadership: Lead recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance evaluations. Promote a positive and engaging workplace culture. Create and manage staff schedules with input from leadership. Support associate growth through training, recognition, and succession planning. Empower team members to take ownership of their roles. Maintain effective communication and realign team priorities as needed. Proactively address and resolve associate concerns. Celebrate achievements to enhance engagement. Customer Experience: Improve both associate and customer experiences by ensuring a safe environment. Professionally resolve customer inquiries and address escalated issues. Maintain high store standards and ensure compliance with company policies. Continuously evaluate processes for improvement opportunities. Collaborate with leadership on in-store community events and initiatives. Conduct regular compliance checks and safety assessments. Efficiently manage inventory to meet customer demands. Business Management: Achieve profitability goals through effective execution of corporate strategies. Analyze reports to identify trends and implement improvement plans. Identify business growth opportunities and hold the team accountable for performance. Manage operational expenses within budget constraints. Prepare and submit accurate and timely store reports and documentation. Qualifications: 4-6 years of retail leadership experience in a customer-centric environment. Full flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong proficiency in computer applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining professionalism. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements: Capability to stand, walk, climb, and reach as required. Must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally assist with heavier loads.
