Job Description Position: Fire Protection System Designer Specialist Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 (Depending on experience) Job Type: Full-time About Us: We are a forward-thinking firm committed to enhancing safety and precision in fire protection design. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Fire Protection System Designer to join our talented team. This role is crucial in designing and implementing fire sprinkler systems, conducting site surveys, and producing final shop drawings, all while ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Design comprehensive fire sprinkler systems utilizing AutoCAD and/or HydraCAD/AutoSPRINK. Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure compliance with NFPA standards. Conduct thorough field surveys and work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and general contractors. Prepare detailed submittal packages for Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) approval. Ensure all designs meet local building codes and insurance requirements. Qualifications: Experience: At least 4 years of experience in fire sprinkler system design. Certification: NICET Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout is strongly preferred. Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with AutoSPRINK or HydraCAD is advantageous. Knowledge: Profound understanding of NFPA 13, 13R, 14, and 20 standards. Communication: Excellent collaboration skills with field crews and project managers.
