Role Overview: In the role of Automotive Parts Consultant, you will be a vital part of our DIY business. Your automotive knowledge and outstanding customer service abilities will shine as you assist customers with their projects. This full-time position invites you to bring your expertise to enhance customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: Deliver an exceptional selling experience for DIY customers both in-store and via phone. Achieve personal and store sales goals while providing exemplary service. Oversee DIY services including battery installations, testing, and wiper replacements. Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure the store is visually appealing. Take on key holder duties such as managing task assignments, ensuring store safety, and performing opening/closing responsibilities. Additional Responsibilities: Support inventory management by receiving deliveries, performing cycle counts, and organizing back stock efficiently. Keep the store environment clean, organized, and welcoming for all customers. Provide hands-on assistance with DIY services as needed. Success Factors: Excellent communication skills that foster a welcoming atmosphere. Ability to quickly locate and restock parts effectively. Understanding of safety protocols and practices. Competence in operating store systems and handling equipment. Deep knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and parts sourcing. Essential Skills: Strong grasp of automotive systems and diagnostics, especially engines, suspension, brakes, and electronics. Effective English communication skills; being bilingual in Spanish is an asset. Aptitude for reading technical documents and procedural manuals. Capacity for performing relevant mathematical calculations. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings and weekends. Qualifications: 3-5 years of automotive parts experience. Demonstrated ability to drive sales and handle customer transactions successfully. Valid driver's license required. ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory. Physical Demands: This position may require lifting and handling various parts and equipment.
