Join Our Team Leidos is seeking a talented Senior Aerospace Manufacturing Expert to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute your skills and expertise in support of our customers on-site in Northern Virginia. You will work alongside a highly skilled group of subject matter experts providing analytical support in areas such as launch vehicles, missile systems, satellite technology, and C4ISR. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Showcasing your proficiency in aerospace manufacturing methodologies, materials, and tooling, with a special focus on ballistic missile production. Collaborating effectively within team settings while maintaining the capability to work independently with minimal oversight. Providing specialized advice and support to government clients regarding materials, equipment, and infrastructure pertinent to ballistic missile proliferation and production practices. Delivering training and conducting specialized courses on Missile Materials and Machine Tools. Applying your hands-on experience with missile and/or rocket engine manufacturing processes, tooling, procedures, and testing protocols. Mentoring and guiding junior colleagues, supporting their professional development and technical growth. Willingness to travel as required; a valid U.S. passport is necessary. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace, or a related field, with 15+ years of professional experience in aerospace manufacturing. A Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience. An active security clearance at least at the secret level, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field. 15-20 years of direct aerospace or missile manufacturing experience. Familiarity with foreign ballistic missile systems. Experience with U.S. military aerospace systems. Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
