POSITION: Scan Technician ( Records Conversion Specialist) Location: Onsite Position Overview We are seeking detail-oriented Scan Technicians (Production Operators) to support a high-volume digitization initiative involving sensitive Department of Juvenile Justice human resource records. This role operates within a secure, compliance-driven production environment and requires precision, discretion and efficiency. The ideal candidate thrives in structured workflows, understands production targets and is comfortable handling confidential records in accordance with strict chain-of-custody procedures. Key Responsibilities Document Preparation & Handling Remove staples, bindings and fasteners without damaging documents Prepare files for high-speed batch scanning Follow Level A decontamination handling protocols Scanning & Image Capture Operate high-speed production scanners at 300 DPI minimum Monitor image quality including skew, clarity, completeness and alignment Identify and rescan defective or misfed images Ensure accurate file naming and staging for secure Azure upload Quality Control & Compliance Maintain detailed chain-of-custody logs Adhere to secure handling procedures for sensitive HR records Meet daily production and throughput targets Report equipment issues or workflow delays Required Qualifications Experience operating document scanning or imaging equipment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a production-based, deadline-driven environment Ability to pass a background check Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive records Preferred Qualifications Experience with government or regulated records Familiarity with OCR technology Previous experience in warehouse, archive or document conversion environments Project Details Duration: Approximately 13 weeks Estimated Hours: Approximately 520 hours Environment: Secure, compliance-driven production setting
