Purchasing Specialist ABC Imaging is seeking a Purchasing Specialist focused on equipment procurement and logistics. Key responsibilities include: Leading procurement activities and acting as a first escalation point for purchasing issues. Reviewing requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy, policy compliance, and supplier terms. Maintaining and expanding a vetted vendor list; sourcing best-fit suppliers for equipment needs. Negotiating total cost of ownership for equipment, maintenance, and related services. Creating, tracking, and expediting purchase orders; monitoring delivery timelines and compliance with specifications. Maintaining inventory logs, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating replenishment. Resolving POinvoice discrepancies; collaborating with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payments. Supporting process improvements and participating in special procurement projects. Education, experience, and skills required: Bachelor's degree or 46 years of equivalent experience. 35 years of experience in equipment purchasing and/or logistics; strong familiarity with purchasing software/ERP. Solid understanding of production workflows and equipment lifecycle. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with procurement analytics a plus. Proven vendor management, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
