Marketing, Product Development Intern ITW Construction provides a variety of fastening systems and truss products for the commercial, residential, and remodeling/renovation segments with products manufactured at locations around the globe. As a central component of ITW's Construction Segment, the Global Tool Unit (GTU) innovates, develops, and manufactures best-in-class power fastening systems for the global marketplace, serving construction markets in North America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia. Our highly differentiated systems are specified to be used in a variety of applications including Wood Framing, Wood Trim, and Steel to Concrete Installations. Position Summary The Global Tool Unit is seeking a highly motivated, Marketing, Product Development Intern to support the development of Global product strategies and launches that drive the short and long-term business initiatives. In addition to assigned project work, you will be able to grow and demonstrate your marketing and business acumen, creativity, collaboration, leadership capability, critical thinking and customer empathy. What You'll Do Participate as an active member of the GTU's Global Marketing, Segment Leadership Team Understand and analyze end user insights and effectively translate into product and technical requirements Perform competitive analysis - including pricing, features & benefits and technical evaluation Build compelling selling stories based on value proposition Understand and recommend changes to global marketing messages across platforms/regions Support cross-functional and Global divisions on new product development projects from front end market research through launch What You'll Gain 10-12-weeks of marketing experience focusing on New Product Development / Innovation on a Global platform Hands-on, real world experience translating customer insights into compelling product strategies Opportunity to learn the New Product Development process, from customer insights thru launch Ability to work on and communicate with cross-functional teams Assigned 'Buddy' Intern networking events Executive leadership exposure Potential for a full-time employment offer, based on performance Job Requirements Rising Senior (graduating May 2027), or Rising Junior (graduating May 2028) pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related program Collaborative team player with positive, 'can-do' attitude Strong communicator with passion for storytelling Creative and detail-oriented Problem solver with ability to prioritize Highly motivated, self-starter to achieve goals Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint Job Competencies Critical Thinking & Decision Making: Ability to make logical and sound decisions and to know when to act independently and when to seek assistance.
