The Hospitalists of Modesto Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP) to join our Pulmonary Critical Care and Intensivist team. You will work alongside five critical care attending physicians and partner with seven other APPs in a collaborative, team-based rotation. This is an exciting opportunity to practice critical care medicine at two outstanding facilities in California’s Central Valley. Position Overview Position Type: Full-Time, Employed (W-2) Schedule: Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; one week on, one week off rotation; occasional night coverage as needed Locations: Doctors Medical Center (Modesto, CA) & Emanuel Medical Center (Turlock, CA) Compensation: $175,000 – $200,000 annually (commensurate with experience) Sign on Team: 5 Critical Care Attendings and 7 APPs in collaborative rotation Group: Hospitalists of Modesto Medical Group, Inc. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive critical care to ICU patients across multiple units including the Critical Care Unit, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Neuro Critical Care Unit, and Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Manage patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care in collaboration with Intensivists and the multidisciplinary ICU team Perform and assist with ICU procedures including central line placement, arterial lines, intubation, and ventilator management Participate in daily ICU rounding with attending physicians and respond to acute changes in patient condition Work a one-week-on, one-week-off block rotation, partnering with five critical care attendings and seven fellow APPs Rotate between Doctors Medical Center in Modesto and Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock to provide coverage as part of the group schedule Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families About Our Facilities Doctors Medical Center – Modesto, CA 465-bed multispecialty Level II Trauma Center 15 state-of-the-art operating rooms, 3 Labor and Delivery rooms, 4 GI/IR procedure rooms, and 3 Cath Labs 44 ICU beds across SICU, CVICU, Neuro Critical Care, and Critical Care units Impella and ECMO capability Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center – one of only 26 in California and the only center in the Central Valley (Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval) Robotic services with 3 Da Vinci Xi systems, a Hybrid Room, and a Bi-Plane Room Over 2,200 medical staff members across all specialties Emanuel Medical Center – Turlock, CA Sister hospital providing ICU coverage on a rotating block schedule with the group Collaborative environment with cross-coverage support from the Intensivist team Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current California NP license (or eligibility to obtain) National certification (ANCC, AANP) Board certified or board eligible in Acute Care (ACNP or AG-ACNP preferred for NPs) ICU or critical care experience strongly preferred; new graduates with strong critical care clinical rotations will be considered BLS, ACLS, and FCCS certifications (or willingness to obtain) Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive annual salary: $175,000 – $200,000 (based on experience and credentials) Employer-contributed pension plan (regardless of employee contribution) Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance CME allowance for continuing education Professional malpractice coverage provided Live & Work in California’s Central Valley Modesto and Turlock offer year-round mild weather and an exceptional quality of life.
