Overview Dental Care Hygienist Periodontology, Inc is on the lookout for a dedicated and compassionate Dental Care Hygienist to enhance our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering exceptional preventive dental care, educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices, and supporting the dental team to ensure an outstanding patient experience. Your professional skills and patient-centric approach will be key in fostering long-term oral health in our community. Schedule: Full Time, 4 days/week 7:00am - 4:30pm Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and root planing as necessary. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately. Perform oral health assessments and document conditions of teeth and gums. Provide education to patients regarding proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Administer sealants and fluoride treatments when indicated. Prepare treatment rooms and sanitize instruments in accordance with strict infection control protocols. Assist the dentist during exams and procedures as required. Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in dental records. Monitor inventory and ensure the availability of hygiene supplies and equipment. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications Requirements Valid Dental Hygiene license in the applicable state. Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program. Preferred Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Kind and empathetic chairside demeanor. Familiarity with dental software and digital charting practices. Capability to work independently and effectively as part of a collaborative team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing quality care.
