This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nurse to provide specialized intermediate care to patients with thoracic and vascular conditions. Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Provide specialized nursing care for patients recovering from thoracic and vascular surgeries in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). Monitor and assess hemodynamic status, wound healing, and potential complications. Administer medications, IV therapies, and post-operative pain management following physician orders. Collaborate with surgeons, cardiologists, and vascular specialists to ensure optimal patient care. Educate patients and families on post-surgical recovery, wound care, and lifestyle modifications. Maintain accurate and timely patient records while adhering to hospital policies and safety standards. Utilize critical thinking and rapid response skills in emergencies. Candidate requirements Active RN license in Washington State (or eligibility for licensure). 1 year of experience in IMCU, vascular, or thoracic nursing preferred. BLS and ACLS certification required (or willingness to obtain). Strong ability to assess complex conditions and respond effectively.
