Join Our Dynamic Team as a Utilization Review Registered Nurse!Job Description:-Position:Utilization Review Registered Nurse -Shift:Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30) -Years of Experience Required:3 years acute medical Care Manager/UM experience in a hospital setting -Patient Ratios:1:40 -Team Environment:Work collaboratively with a centralized UM team across three facilities -Weekend Requirements:Minimum of 4 shifts within a 6-week period -Patient Age Groups:Neonates, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics -Daily Census:40 patientsKey Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough Utilization Reviews including: - Admission Criteria - Appeals and Denials - Audits - Concurrent and Continued Stay Reviews - Pre-Certification and Prior Authorization - Retrospective Review - Ensure compliance with InterQual CriteriaPreferred Skills:- Regulatory knowledge - Familiarity with: - CPT coding and billing - HEDIS Measures - ICD 10 Coding - CMS Regulations - HCPCS and DRG - HIPAA guidelines - Joint Commission/Core Measure/National Safety Goals - Experience with California Medi-Cal and HMOs/IPAsAdditional Requirements:- Proficient in Epic (recent use required) - Flexibility to rotate between facilities - Must work in Pacific Standard Time - Strong adherence to CA labor laws regarding breaks and lunches - No overtime without leadership approvalWhy Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
