Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity:RN - ICU Job Details:• Work 12-hour night shifts starting at 6:45 AM with bedside report• Every other weekend requirement• Rotate holidays with core staff• May float between SICU (Surgical ICU) and TICU (Trauma ICU) depending on census• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 depending on acuity• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred for trauma experience)• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips• Experience with ventilators required• Work with surgical patients including CEA, fem-pop, EVARs, laparotomies, and thoracic surgeries• Handle trauma cases, CRRT, ECMO, and rapid infusers• Common procedures include line placements and insertions• Dress code: Navy scrubs with navy, white, or black undershirts• Use Cerner EMR system• Self-scheduling with manager approval, schedules available 4 weeks in advance• May float to other Sacramento facilities as needed• 1-2 days floor-specific orientation with preceptor• Overtime and extra shifts available• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Facility:This medical center operates as a Level 2 trauma facility providing comprehensive acute care services.
