Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc.-Allied is seeking a travel Medical Assistant for a travel job in Seattle, Washington. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Medical Assistant Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Medical Assistant - General Oncology Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm (First 1-2 weeks: 8:00am start for orientation) Hours: 40 hours/week Start Date: April 6 Contract Length: 26 weeks (Possible Temp-to-Perm option) About the Role: Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the General Oncology Department of a well respected facility. The Medical Assistant will work under the direction of physicians and clinical staff to assist with exams, procedures, patient flow, and clerical functions. The role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to support a fast-paced oncology clinic. Key Responsibilities: Room patients and families for exams and procedures Document vital signs and patient information in accordance with clinic policy Assist providers with procedures as needed Perform blood draws as directed Conduct clerical duties, patient transport, and exam room cleaning/restocking Support clinic flow and respond to staff requests Recognize symptoms of common medical conditions, abnormal vitals, pain changes, and escalate promptly to RNs/providers Serve as a liaison between patients/families and healthcare teams Float between General Oncology floors as needed Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (certification preferred) Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (Oncology experience a plus but not required) Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and clerical functions Strong phone communication skills Current BLS Active WA MA-C credential Willingness to obtain WA Surgical Technologist Registration within 30 days of hire  Benefits: At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs  Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.  About Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc.-Allied Amergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, has connected the nation's top talent to a variety of healthcare and educational partners since 1988.
