Details Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit in a hospital setting Unit consists of 18 private rooms and one semi-private room with a maximum census of 20 patients Patient population ranges from young adults through geriatrics with a broad range of care needs Patient ratio of 1:6 Telemetry monitoring capabilities on unit Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00) Approximately half of scheduled shifts will include weekend coverage Epic EMR — experience required Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Current certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Epic EMR experience required Travel nursing experience preferred 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler No travel pairs or groups accepted RTO of no more than 3 days will be approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation American Traveler Job ID #P-684142.
