Forklift OperatorDepartment: Shipping & Receiving Employment Type: Full Time Location: City of Industry, CA Compensation: $19.00 - $21.50 / hour Description There's a reason Trinidad Benham is recognized as a leader in our industry. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Forklift operators move our product - whether it's loading or unloading product for transportation, wrapping finished product, or moving product around the facility. Forklift operators must be safety-minded and have good attention to detail. Operates a gas or electric forklift in warehouse. Performs daily forklift inspections while adhering to established safety procedures. Moves product to racks or into trailers/containers according to shipping schedule. Unloads shipments off trailers/containers and stacks product to storage areas and/or racks. Uploads full and partial pallets, wraps pallets when necessary, stages product for loading, checks pallets for accuracy to order. Maintains clean and organized aisles or racks storage, consolidates partial pallets when needed. Labels, sorts, wraps and ties inventory product. Pick orders and stage on assigned staging areas per Shipping schedule Communicates with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs WHAT WE NEEDEDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING: High School Diploma or equivalent required Forklift certification required Minimum of 2 years or more of related experience in manufacturing preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to work well with all levels of employees, whether individually or in a team environment Ability to perform basic math skills Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel. Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed. Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel.
