Description Position Summary: As a Material Handler within the Little Rock manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in the efficient flow of materials within the facility, ensuring the seamless movement of consumable goods and other materials. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, your responsibilities include safe equipment operation, material handling, and hazard identification to maintain a safe and productive environment. Education, Experience, Skills & Knowledge: • A high school diploma or GED is highly preferred • Two years' experience operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment with the ability to obtain a forklift certification immediately upon hire • Basic computer and data entry skills required • Safety-First Attitude: Strong commitment to safety, consistently utilizing proper safety gear and following safety protocols • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation and reliability Personal Behaviors: • Embrace and embody the mission, vision, and values of VisionCorps • Conduct self in a manner that upholds the standards of VisionCorps • Actively participate in continuous training and skill development • Proficient communication (verbal and written) with all stakeholders, internal and external, in English • Exhibit a strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and integrity in all tasks Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Follow work orders and verbal instructions to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner • Inspect products to ensure they meet established quality standards and immediately report any inconsistencies • Safely move raw materials and finished goods between storage areas, staging areas and production zones using a forklift • Identify products and lot codes for daily production runs • Sort and stage raw product in production room • Loading raw product onto packaging equipment in an efficient and safe manner • Verify and document product and lot codes • Remove finished product on skids and use wrapping machinery to secure load • Enter product and lot codes into production software and tag skids accordingly • Organize and store finished product in identified areas to be staged for shipping • Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections • Perform various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, cleaning packaging equipment, basic preventative maintenance and other related tasks Other duties as assigned Physical Demands: • Ability to work a minimum of full-time hours • Hand/eye coordination is necessary to operate computers, and various pieces of office equipment • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle and/or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms • Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time • Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds Work Environment • Primarily work in a climate-controlled environment • May be exposed to fumes, dust and outdoor weather conditions • As a Material Handler, you will perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects. Your work may take place outdoors in various weather conditions. You may be exposed to hazardous materials, loud noises, and dangerous machinery, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, hardhats, protective suits, and respiratory devices.
