Forklift OperatorOverviewThis position is essential to the safe and efficient movement of freight within a busy distribution environment. The role focuses on operating forklifts to load, unload, sort, and document freight while maintaining a clean and organized dock area. Accuracy, safety awareness, and attention to detail are key to success in this role.Key Responsibilities Load freight onto and off of trucks, trailers, and containers using a forklift Unload inbound and outbound shipments and sort freight by size, destination, and routing Read and interpret freight labels, codes, and documentation to ensure proper movement and tracking Verify and reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests Label, weigh, and measure freight to ensure accurate processing Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dock area through routine cleanup tasks Document damaged or misrouted freight using required reporting procedures Schedule & PayThis role follows a rotating weekly schedule with four available shifts: 1a: Sunday-Tuesday, every other Wednesday - 5:00 AM-5:00 PM - $23/hr 2a: Sunday-Tuesday, every other Wednesday - 5:00 PM-5:00 AM - $25.50/hr 1b: Thursday-Saturday, every other Wednesday - 5:00 AM-5:00 PM - $23/hr 2b: Thursday-Saturday, every other Wednesday - 5:00 PM-5:00 AM - $25.50/hr Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Independence, KY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
