Dental Hygienist Opportunity Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, confident in clinical skills, and committed to providing high-quality preventive and therapeutic dental care. This role supports the dentist in delivering exceptional patient experiences while promoting oral health education and long-term patient relationships. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive dental cleanings (prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance) Conduct oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and evaluation of gum health Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) Administer local anesthesia as permitted by state regulations Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Review medical histories and update patient records accurately Identify conditions such as gingivitis, periodontal disease, and other oral abnormalities Assist the dentist during exams and procedures as needed Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols Ensure operatories are prepared, clean, and fully stocked Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Active state Dental Hygiene license in good standing Current CPR/BLS certification Local anesthesia certification (if applicable to state regulations) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of dental software and digital radiography systems preferred
