Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly and caring approach, encouraging a collaborative atmosphere. Assist dentists and dental hygienists in a variety of procedures, maintaining high standards of patient service and clinic efficiency. Prepare for patient appointments by reviewing charts, documenting vital health information, and ensuring all treatment consents are signed. Engage in Four Handed Dentistry by fabricating temporary crowns, placing rubber dams, and assisting with a variety of dental restorations. Take, develop, and accurately mount high-quality radiographs and intra-oral photographs. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of all equipment and treatment areas before and after patient visits. Manage incoming and outgoing lab cases while monitoring and ordering necessary dental supplies. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and follow OSHA and BBP safety protocols. Educate patients on procedures and address their questions to promote comfort and understanding. Support the administrative team in scheduling patients and managing essential referrals. Exhibit proficiency in computer systems and demonstrate a capacity to learn new software quickly. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Current radiography certification is mandatory. Active Dental Assistant or equivalent license required as per state regulations. CPR (BLS) certification preferred.
