Location: Long Island, NYSchedule: Monday FridayHours: 10:00 AM 6:30 PMPay Range: $38.00 $55.00 per hour Key Responsibilities Contribute to patient care by preparing and embedding tissue samples, including slide preparation for routine H&E and specialized staining techniques Carry out and log routine preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment Identify and resolve issues related to processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining Operate effectively in a high-volume lab setting with exposure to biological and chemical materials Promote and uphold safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance practices Qualifications Hands-on experience with microtomy and tissue embedding required Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience or training involving high-complexity testing High school diploma or equivalent required Associate s or Bachelor s degree in a science-related field, along with completion of a histotechnology program, preferred Certification as HT or HTL through a recognized accrediting body preferred Applicable state licensure (if required) This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented lab professional looking to grow in a dynamic and supportive environment.
