Job Description We are seeking a Call Center Agent to join our team supporting inbound taxpayer inquiries for individual and business tax compliance, delinquency, and general information. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high-volume call center environments and a proven ability to resolve Tier 1 issues, document actions across multiple systems, and provide clear guidance to customers. Responsibilities: Answer inbound calls in a fast-paced environment with professional and courteous service. Resolve Tier 1 level issues and escalate when appropriate. Review taxpayer accounts and verify, gather, and update key information while on the call. Educate taxpayers on online resources and current tax policies. Submit requests for payment arrangements per guidelines. Document actions and outcomes accurately in multiple systems. Participate in team engagement activities and meet performance expectations. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong multitasking with simultaneous navigation and data entry. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Clear written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to retain knowledge and apply policies accurately. Creative problem solving with goal-oriented and organized work habits. 1+ year of recent call center experience, preferably in national centers such as finance/banking, insurance, or telecommunications (non-technical support). Must be able to work within operating hours 7:45 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday through Friday. Training is three weeks, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Attendance is critical. Fully remote after onsite Day 1 orientation; interviews conducted remotely. Candidates must live in the Greater Phoenix or Tucson area and be able to attend Day 1 onsite orientation and transport issued equipment. Hardwired internet required with sufficient bandwidth. If using a 5G router, bring it on Day 1 for IT configuration. Pre-employment checks required: state and federal background, fingerprinting, and Arizona tax filing records check for the previous five years. Short stint work history and switchboard/dispatch-only experience are not preferred. Role may lead to future permanent employment based on performance, dependability, and culture alignment.
